(i know you will not ignore the news of my demise,i fear by the time you get the news i might have turned to dust.) husn ghamze ki kasha-kash se chuta mere baad, baar-i aaraam se hai ahl-e jafa mere baad. ( her beauty is spared the constant sadening struggle,her cruel coquetry is at ease on my death.) shama bujhti hai tu us mein se dhuan uthta hai, shola-e ishq siah-posh huwa mere baad..... (smoke follow extinction of the candle, the flame of love started wearing black, following my death) gham se merta hun ke itna nahin dunya mein koi, ke kare taazeyat-e- mehr-o vafa mere baad. ( i am dying of this sorrow of separation like no one else in this world, no one else would fulfill the demands of love and faithfulness after me.) aaye hai bekasi-e-ishq pe rona Ghalib kis ke ghar jaaye ga sailab-e-bala mere baad. Ghalib,like a helpless lover,i am all tears,and wonder where will this destructive love-monster hit, following the ruins of my home.....) ......mirza ghalib......
