Nishani Dava Angtha (release date: Fri, 22 May '09 ) is a marathi movie directed by Purushottam Berde with cast: Makarand Anaspure, Ashok Saraf, Dilip Prabhawalkar, Mohan Agashe, Vinay Apte, Nirmiti Sawant, Bharat Ganeshpure, etc... Bharat Jadhav and Sanjay Narvekar make special appearances. Synopsis: This is a story of village called 'Savargaon' in Buldhana taluka that has the most uneducated population, where the Govt. of Maharashtra has announced 'Saksharta Abhiyan' (Education For All). Each teacher is suppose to educate villagers after their daily work is finished. But teachers refuse to do so and the villagers remain uneducated. Govt. sends Sr. Education officer to inspect Savargaon. Teachers, officers and villagers come together and deceive the officer. He goes back happy with the situation falsely created by the people of Savargaon. After one year the village recieves award and certificate for being 100% educated and the total success of Saksharta Abhiyan. By hearing this entire district gets pleasantly surprised. Nishani Dava Anghtha is based on an award-winning novel written of the same name by Ramesh Ingle Utradkar. This clips we can here a song athe beginning that's actually sung by Makarand Anaspure.
