Designers and their alliances with actresses are undoubtedly the most fruitful in B-town. While fashionistas get to add oodles of grace and ritzy appeal to their work, actresses get to flaunt their ultra-toned bodies and get valuable footage on the ramp. The latest designer and her muse to cash in are Maheka Mirpuri and Bipasha Basu. Bipasha stole the show recently when she walked the ramp in gorgeous bridal wear designed by Maheka. The actress wore a stunning shade of pink and walked gracefully in a heavy lehenga and designer jewellery. But before we could jump to conclusions and think Bips was practising for her real life nuptials, she quickly clarified. “Abhi nahi,” she said impatiently. More and more actresses are doing a Bipasha and wearing minimal clothes these days, does she think revealing clothes strike a chord with the audience? “When you have to wear a swimsuit, you will. You can’t wear a ghagra choli at a beach. Where there’s a wedding, you can’t wear a bikini.
