Kanwa Ashram said to be the birth place of Price Bharat after which "Bharat" (India) is named. The ashram itself is situated about 30kms from Kotdwar in a remote hamlet. Not visited by many people, mainly due to lack of awareness about it. The surroundings and the priest are nice. The condition of ashram is not so good and needs some maintenance. A place worth visiting.
