Demonstrating some of the sample MIDI songs that came with Creative Labs' 1992 Sound Blaster Pro sound card, in both standard .MID format as well as in Creative's own now-obsolete .CMF music file format. Although far from realistic, the OPL3 FM synthesis chip generates some interesting tones, and overall has a pleasant sound, unlike the harsh kazoo-like tones made by some cheap clone sound cards when playing MIDI music. As you can hear in the first song, the SB Pro also has excellent bass response (this was recorded directly from its line output jack, with no EQ added).
