First few minutes of gameplay from my FireRed ROM hack, Pokémon ToxicPurple. It's Team Rocket-centric, because when I was a little girl I was traumatized for life when I wasn't allowed to say "Yes" to the Rocket recruiter on Nugget Bridge, and this is my way of coping with the grief. You and your Rival are partners, two new recruits to Team Rocket, starting out in the hidden Saffron Rocket Base. Your first mission will take you to Lavender Town, where you'll be helping your fellow Grunts deal with a certain mother Marowak who's bothering Team Rocket. Despite the fact that the Marowak is in Pokémon Tower, it's not dead. ... Yet. First, though, you'll have to deal with a couple of annoying Psychics from Sabrina's Gym. Not all the graphics are done yet. Oak, NidoranM, the Hero(ine), and the Rival in the intro haven't been replaced yet, nor have the backsprites; and I'm not done with the Rival's OW, so sometimes he'll randomly turn into an orange-haired Gary when walking left or right. They'll be fixed up ASAP. I also spelled Vermilion City wrong in one place (I gave it two L's) and I'll fix that too. There's also no sound in the video. Sorry. Everything in this video--scripts, maps, overworlds--was made by me. I used A-Trainer, AdvanceMap, AdvanceText, Overworld Editor RE, and XSE, which were NOT made by me.
