Hue Can @KMBS Part 9 of 12 CIMG0260.MOV on 9/1/2009 @ 9:52 PM Topic : How To Live In Peace, Be Happy and Joyful Biodata of Ven Hue Can Venerable Hue Can (pronounced as Hui Can), a Vietnamese nun of Zen tradition was ordained in 1997 and is now the abbess of Sunyata Community and Meditation Centre in Perth. Prior to her renunciation, Ven obtained a degree in library studies in Western Australia. She then ran library education services for migrant students and later became co-coordinator of the Ethic Child Care Resource Unit Inc., running many workshops relating to early childhood education. Venerable has strong commitment to community work, focusing on the welfare of migrants and has also been providing family counseling services. Venerable also produced many publications on cross cultural and social issues. Venerable regularly conducts meditation retreats in Singapore at the Buddhist Fellowship and has given Dharma talks in Singapore, Malaysia, America, Korea and India. She is also a regular speaker at Ajahn Brahmavamsos center in Perth. During her last few visits to Malaysia, Ven was invited to share the Dhamma at BGF, Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society, Sg. Long Buddhist Society, Cempaka Buddhist Lodge and Triple Gem Meditation Center.
